3G Mobile donates tablets to ‘The Clothing Bank’ organization
In November 2015 3G Mobile donated 13 x AG Mobile Access tablets to an NGO called The Clothing Bank. The Clothing Bank is a social enterprise development organisation that trains, develops, mentors and supports unemployed women from disadvantaged backgrounds to become self-employed and eradicate poverty in their lives. These tablets were for a ‘take-away pizza / food truck’ project that they were working on where they set up the business model for the individual – including covering the initial start-up costs to run the business. They then provide ongoing support to ensure that the businesses are sustainable. The tablets were needed at POS to transact and to access the business portal. The Clothing Bank has been in operation for 5 years and have 6 training and development branches though out SA. For more info on The Clothing Bank visit www.theclothingbank.org.za

On behalf of The Clothing Bank I would like to express our gratitude for the generous donation of AG tablets from your company. These will be used for point of sale in the new mobile TUK TUK pizza business that we are launching shortly. The idea is to sell take-away pizza from food vans in the community. We set up the whole business model and all sources of supply and pay for initial start-up costs for these businesses. We will train, mentor and develop the business owners and provide ongoing support to ensure their businesses are sustainable. We will be launching the first vehicle at the end of November and once we are sure we have a good model, roll this out to more business owners. Our ideal is for this to go national, offering the convenience of pizza to people in their communities, and thereby creating employment. Thank you for supporting this great initiative. Kind Regards Cathy Wegener Project Manager
