Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

Introducing the game-changers

Samsung’s new flagship model is now available as from the 11th March The Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 edge have some amazing new features and an incredible new camera with dual pixel technology. Boasting 4GB of RAM and running Android Marshmallow this certainly does promise to be a game changer. And lets not forget both these models are water and dust resistant

First thing to know is that there are 2 variants of SAMSUNG’S GALAXY S7. The Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge. Both models boast the exact  same specifications apart from the obvious edge curves and display size. The galaxy S7 edge having a larger screen comes in a 5.5 inches (137mm) and the S7 screen size comes in at 5.1 inches (129mm). See the specifications table below. Other differences are the larger battery on the Galaxy edge and slightly higher PPI (Pixels per inch)

At first you will notice when holding the unit in your hand is the sloping edges on the front of the device, this came with the Samsung Galaxy S6 which was released last year in April. So nothing new here. But noticeably different  is the curved edge on the back of the device. The S7 edge feels really great in your hands.

The camera on the S7 edge is 12MP (megapixels) This is actually a drop from last year’s 16MP resolution, but it’s not all about pixel count, as you know. These pixels are bigger, so better at sucking in light which is especially handy if available light is low. The result is a very fast, impressive camera that launches quickly just by double-Clicking the home button. And its autofocus is also very fast , helping you can that opportunistic shot.

Expandable storage

Samsung have been listening to their customers and have included a dedicated expandable memory card slot. this new S7 can take up to a 200GB SSD card. Which we think is pretty darn awesome.

Battery Life

The Galaxy S7 has a battery capacity of 3000 mAh and the edge 3600 mAh.

Water Proof

With the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, you don’t have to worry about putting your phone down on wet surfaces. You can carry on using it even after dropping it in water. You can play games by the pool, post selfies at the beach. They’ve been awarded the IP (Ingress Protection) rating of 68. This means that the S7 and S7 edge can be immersed in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.
